Will Magid is a trumpet player and leader of the Pangea Collective.  A graduate of the UCLA Department of Ethnomusicology, Will has studied and performed on several continents including a five month stint in Ghana where he attended the University of Ghana and toured the country with The Ramblers, Ghana’s legendary highlife band.

Under Will’s direction, the Pangea Collective recently released an EP, featuring songs written or co-written by Will.  Will was stage manager and a performer at the UCLA JazzReggae Festival and produced and performed at the UCLA “West Africa Meets Westwood” show in May, 2008.   He co-produced the album “School Work” for Ghanaian artist Zagidi Bogidi and has worked for the Monterrey Jazz Festival.

Will has worked on behalf of several non-profits including Amnesty International (though Grassroots Campaigns, Inc.) and ConnectSafely.org. He also produced and performed in several fund raisers for the Obama Campaign.  Will has worked as a videographer, recording engineer and website developer. He is fluent in both PCs and Macs and a wide variety of productiviy and media production applications.
